Ela estava em companhia da mãe, Maria Emília Cacciatore Florêncio, que saiu de casa no bairro de Barreinha em Curitiba, para encontrar-se com pai da menina. Maria Emília foi encontrada morta 05 dias depois em um matagal no município de Campina Grande do Sul. Da menina, não se teve mais notícias. Compromisso, novo CD de Regis Danese

Quem não se lembra de “O Melhor Que Eu Tenho”, sucesso nas FM´s de todo o Brasil, ou “O Meu Deus é Forte” hino que invadiu as igrejas do país? Pois é, Regis Danese, o intérprete dos dois hits, mostra mais uma vez, que de fato nasceu para adorar e veio para ficar. Esbanjando carisma e unção, agora, ele apresenta Compromisso, uma superprodução com ares de show ao vivo e músicos de primeira qualidade. Seguindo seu estilo de louvor e adoração, a bolacha é pincelada com baladas, o que resultou para Régis como seu melhor registro.

“Ainda estou bem no começo da minha carreira, mas vejo Compromisso, como meu mais excelente trabalho”. Regis Danese, O Maior Fenômeno Musical Evangélico Do Momento, Repercute Nas Rádios Seculares

O cantor e compositor mineiro Régis Danese conseguiu mais do que pede a Deus na letra de seu maior sucesso musical, Faz um milagre em mim. Desde que lançou seu último trabalho, o CD Compromisso, puxado pela canção cujo primeiro verso diz "Como Zaqueu, eu quero subir o mais alto que eu puder", em outubro do ano passado, Danese está saboreando bem mais que quinze minutos de fama. A música é um fenômeno, gruda na cabeça como chiclete e toca em todas as rádios evangélicas, seja qual for a igreja ou empresa que a controle – o que, por si só, já pode ser considerado um milagre, dada a acirrada concorrência, para dizer o mínimo, que caracteriza o setor. Faz um milagre em mim também é pedida pelos ouvintes de rádios seculares que tocam em geral funk e pagode, como a popular Nativa FM 96,5, uma das mais ouvidas do Rio de Janeiro. "Nunca imaginei que uma canção cristã pudesse tocar numa rádio dessas, é difícil de acreditar", diz Danese, ainda surpreso com o efeito do sucesso. Na Saara, região de comércio popular do centro do Rio, os alto-falantes dos boxes que vendem produtos evangélicos (originais ou não) despejam a canção nos ouvidos dos transeuntes o dia todo. Além de emissoras de rádio católicas, Faz um milagre em mim já foi executada até em centro espírita e em programas de TV como o do apresentador Raul Gil, da Rede Bandeirantes, e o TV Xuxa, da Globo. Tamanho sucesso – um milhão de cópias vendidas, segundo dados da gravadora Line Records – contrasta com a situação do cantor há alguns poucos meses. "Não digo que passei fome, mas para quem andava de carrão importado de repente não ter mais dinheiro para nada, com família para sustentar, é muito complicado. Mas, graças a Deus, isso mudou." Natural de Passos (MG), Danese iniciou sua carreira em 1989, integrando a dupla sertaneja Régis & Raí, com a qual lançou um LP pela extinta gravadora BMG Ariola. Mais tarde, em 1991, foi convidado pelo pagodeiro Alexandre Pires para participar do grupo Só Pra Contrariar. Durante cinco anos, suas composições fizeram sucesso, como Te amar sem medo, O samba não tem fronteiras e Amor verdadeiro. São dele também várias canções interpretadas por artistas como Daniel, Gian e Giovani, Cristyan e Ralph, Belo, Vavá, Elimar Santos e Alcione. Porém, há quatro anos, Danese se converteu ao Evangelho por intermédio de um amigo, o também cantor Vandinho, que curiosamente era ministro de louvor de uma Igreja Quadrangular em Uberlândia (MG) e cantava no grupo de pagode: "Ele ficou durante anos no conjunto e sempre manteve uma postura diferente da nossa, mostrando seu caráter de homem de Deus. Certo dia, quando eu passava por um grave problema no meu casamento, ele me falou de Jesus. Recebi aquela palavra e acreditei", lembra o compositor. A partir dali, Danese abandonou a carreira secular e passou a conviver com diversos problemas financeiros, até o milagre da multiplicação de CDs acontecer. Consciente da realidade do mercado fonográfico brasileiro, ele não tem ilusões: "Não dá para viver com o dinheiro dos direitos autorais", resigna-se. Danese hoje frequenta com a mulher Kelly e o filho Bruno a Assembléia de Deus de Uberlândia. Nesta entrevista a CRISTIANISMO HOJE, o artista fala sobre música evangélica, mercado gospel, direitos autorais e a sempre controversa questão da cobrança de cachês: A quê você atribui o estrondoso sucesso de Faz um milagre em mim? Na verdade, essa música não foi composta por mim. A letra é da minha mulher, Kelly, e do compositor Joselito, amigo nosso. Curiosamente, eu pretendia guardar Faz um milagre em mim para o próximo CD, mas várias pessoas que a ouviram antes de ser gravada me disseram para não esperar mais. Alguns desses irmãos profetizaram para mim, dizendo que a música iria abrir as portas do Brasil para o meu ministério. Eu sempre escuto essas pessoas, pois através delas Deus pode falar. E eu tenho um certo dom para reconhecer uma canção que promete. Eu sabia que essa música tinha algo que iria pegar. No início, achei que só estava tocando no eixo Rio-São Paulo, mas vejo que está por todo lado, graças a Deus. Tem uma letra muito forte, que fala com qualquer ser humano, seja crente ou não; o pessoal se identifica com o verso "mexe com minha estrutura". Essa palavra é a que toca as pessoas, pois vai ao encontro do que há no coração de todo mundo. Todos temos essa necessidade de que Deus vá tão fundo em nossa vida que altere toda a nossa estrutura. Como é o processo de criação de suas composições? Como compositor, posso dizer que a fórmula é a inspiração natural. Você está andando no carro e sente uma inspiração; então, deve parar e escrever. Mas não dá para forçar a barra e tentar repetir fórmulas ou receitas – ainda mais com as coisas de Deus. Antes de se converter, você compunha para vários artistas da música popular brasileira. Ainda recebe pelos direitos autorais? Não. No Brasil, não é como nos Estados Unidos. Aqui, a música é descartável. E isso está ocorrendo com a música evangélica também. Virou um comércio. A música para de tocar, você para de receber. No caso de Roberto Carlos ou Chico Buarque, por exemplo, eles recebem muito dinheiro porque fizeram músicas que não são perecíveis. Mas as minhas composições naquela época, reconheço, eram sucessos de momento, para ganhar dinheiro. A partir do momento em que eu larguei a carreira secular, que era o meu ganha-pão, passei um tempo recebendo dinheiro de direitos autorais: de três em três meses, eu recebia uma grana. Só que depois fiquei sem dinheiro. Perdi quase tudo e quase passei necessidade. Mudei de um carrão importado para um carro velho, assim que entrei na igreja. Houve quem dissesse que eu deveria voltar ao ambiente mundano. Mas com essa música, tudo mudou. O Senhor tem me abençoado. Você acha que o sucesso dessa canção pode aumentar a aceitação das músicas evangélicas no mercado secular? Olha, por volta de 1991, quando eu comecei a cantar sertanejo com o Raí, nenhuma rádio tocava esse tipo de música. Depois, com o sucesso de algumas duplas, o sertanejo virou febre em todo o país. O mesmo aconteceu com outros ritmos que só tinham algum espaço em rádios segmentadas, como funk e pagode, mas que venceram o preconceito e se disseminaram. O sucesso de canções gospel como Faz um milagre em mim tende a abrir mercado para a música evangélica. Ela foi cantada até no programa do padre Marcelo Rossi, na Rede Globo, e tem sido chamada de hit gospel. Como foi sua carreira evangélica até aqui? Meu primeiro CD, O meu Deus é forte, ninguém queria pegar. Aí, eu fui indicado como revelação masculina e melhor CD independente num concurso nacional, e só então a Line Records começou a distribuí-lo. O segundo álbum já foi distribuído pela Line. Agora, o Compromisso já chegou à marca de 1 milhão de cópias vendidas. Foi o suficiente para você se estabilizar financeiramente? Tenho participação nas vendas e minha vida financeira mudou da água para o vinho. Volto a dizer que, quando abandonei a música secular, perdi tudo, menos a casa onde moro. Alguém já tinha me dito que Deus iria restaurar meu patrimônio, o que está acontecendo agora. Como é sua relação profissional com o segmento evangélico? Você cobra cachê para se apresentar nas igrejas? No início, quando me converti, eu não precisava, pois vim do mundão com o bolso cheio. Nem aceitava oferta para cantar em igreja. Mas o dinheiro acabou e vieram as dificuldades. Minha banda é formada por nove pessoas, incluindo eu e um auxiliar. Todos os músicos são do Rio de Janeiro e são todos evangélicos. Se sou convidado para ir a um evento com cobrança de entrada, estabeleço um cachê. Mas, quando vou às igrejas, é diferente. Quando elas têm condição de nos abençoar com uma boa oferta, a gente aceita. Mas, quando é uma igreja pequena e sem recursos, cantamos de graça mesmo. Às vezes, nem levo CDs. Quando você canta em cultos, a igreja fica obrigada a comprar determinado número de CDs? Não. Isso não ocorre. Alguma igreja já lhe deu calote? Infelizmente, há igrejas que fazem isso. Já houve casos de eu ter que tirar o dinheiro do bolso para voltar para casa. A igreja fez o convite, eu fui e depois não cumpriram o acordo. Hoje, tento evitar que um compromisso não seja cumprido por parte de quem me convida. Tenho pessoas que cuidam da agenda e outros que me ajudam na questão estrutural, tratando dos detalhes. Uma agência de viagens vende as passagens para a minha banda. Na hora que a pessoa fecha a minha participação em um evento, ela já compra com essa agência de viagem as passagens de ida e volta do grupo. Muitos cantores evangélicos cobram cachê até para cantar em cultos, e não cobram pouco. O que acha disso? Não fico à vontade para julgar isso. É o mesmo caso daqueles cantores que se convertem, cantam nas igrejas e depois voltam para o mercado secular. Como posso criticá-los, se minha conversão é fruto desse vai e vem? Cristianismo Hoje

FAZ UM MILAGRE EM MIM (COMO ZAQUEU)

A Páscoa cristã tem um significado especial: "Nova Viva com Jesus".

"Chegou o dia da Festa dos Pães Asmos, em que importava comemorar a Páscoa. Jesus, pois, enviou Pedro e João, dizendo: Ide preparar-nos a Páscoa para que a comamos. Eles lhe perguntaram: Onde queres que a preparemos? Então, lhes explicou Jesus: Ao entrardes na cidade, encontrareis um homem com um cântaro de água; segui-o até à casa em que ele entrar e dizei ao dono da casa: O Mestre manda perguntar-te: Onde é o aposento no qual hei de comer a Páscoa com os meus discípulos? Ele vos mostrará um espaçoso cenáculo mobilado; ali fazei os preparativos.E, indo, tudo encontraram como Jesus lhes dissera e prepararam a Páscoa. Chegada a hora, pôs-se Jesus à mesa, e com ele os apóstolos. E disse-lhes: Tenho desejado ansiosamente comer convosco esta Páscoa, antes do meu sofrimento. Pois vos digo que nunca mais a comerei, até que ela se cumpra no reino de Deus. É o sangue de Jesus, derramado na cruz do Cálvario que garante a nossa liberdade. Ele é o cordeiro definitivo que tira os pecados dos homens. Em Cristo morremos para o mundo e passamos a viver para o SENHOR. Ele é o cordeiro de nossa Páscoa."Sabendo que não foi com coisas corruptíveis, como prata ou ouro, que fostes resgatados da vossa vã maneira de viver que, por tradição, recebestes dos vossos pais, mas pelo precioso sangue, como de cordeiro sem defeito e sem mácula, o sangue de Cristo". 1 Pedro 1:18-19.

How Great Is Jesus Who Loves Us So Much That He Has Delivered Us from All Our Sins!
John chapter 1 describes Jesus as the Creator of the entire universe. If we were to compare ourselves to the boundless universe that God created, we would realize what small and dismal creatures we are. This is why we cannot thank God enough for being able to meet such great God. It was the greatest of all miracles. Even now, I think that it is the greatest of all miracles that I have met with God, who came by the gospel of the water and the Spirit.
Jesus was the Creator, who created this vast universe that spreads millions upon millions of light years wide. God has also prepared the eternal Truth and the true salvation, which are invisible to our eyes. God is truly an amazing God. God’s utmost work was creating humans, out of all other God’s creations, as His own children.
Yet, how could we not give thanks to God, when we were able to encounter such a great and marvelous God? God has accomplished such great works that are impossible for us to comprehend with our intelligence. The world that God has created is full of mysteries which are incomprehensible to the human mind. We cannot but help praise God, since we were able to meet with such a great God on our own discretion. We cannot help but praise God, when we look at the universe that is filled with many galaxies that are beyond our imaginations. The universe, which God has created, is magnificent. We are such small beings who are incomparable to God’s created world. Each person is no larger than a flake of dust in the eyes of God. Still, how could we not give thanks to God, when such small beings as we were able to meet with God, the Creator of this magnificent universe? With a heart full of gratefulness, I give my thanks to God once again.
However, it is a shame that there are so many people who are trying to meet with the great and holy God without having the gospel Truth of the water and the Spirit. It is absolutely impossible for us to meet with Jesus without first having faith in this true gospel. Also, it is impossible for us to receive the remission of sin without the gospel of the water and the Spirit.
Then, how is Jesus Christ able to meet with us humans? There is no other way through which God is able to meet with us except through Jesus, who became a human just like you and me. Jesus received the baptism from John the Baptist to take all our sins onto Himself at once, and He wholly blotted out all our sins once and for all by being crucified on the Cross. Through His baptism and crucifixion, Jesus made it possible for God to adopt us as His own children. In other words, there is no other means of salvation except the coming of God as our Savior, who has delivered us from all our sins once and for all. However, if God were to meet with us in His fundamental character, no sinner would have been able to escape the judgments accorded to their sins, for He is the most holy and solemn Judge. Because we were fundamentally sinners, we would have died if we were to stand before God’s holy light. Thus, for God to meet with us, He had to come to us in the flesh of man, just like us.
Our Lord Himself has thus come in the flesh of man so that He could meet with us and deliver us, who are weak and insufficient, from all our sins. In order to take the flesh and blood of a man, just like the bodies we possess, Jesus was born into this world through the Virgin Mary. Just as it is written, “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel” (Isaiah 7:14), God has come to us in flesh and blood like ours to be with us. This promise was prophesized by the Prophet Isaiah over 700 years prior to Jesus’ birth. If our Lord had not lowered Himself to our humble level and approached us, you and I would have never been able to meet with the Lord. Our Lord had come to this world in the flesh of man, just like ours, to meet with us.God Who Has Become Immanuel to Us
“Immanuel” means “God with us,” and the name “Jesus” means “He who will save His people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21, 23). John 3:16 says about Immanuel Jesus the following: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Because God so loved us, He took the flesh of man and came into this world to meet with us.
Jesus Christ came to this world in the flesh of man and made us sinless by the gospel of the water and the Spirit. Thus, He has made us into His own people. Our Lord has given us the gospel of great blessings. He has come into this world by the gospel of the water and the Spirit. When we listen to and believe in our hearts the gospel Truth of the water and the Spirit, we can meet with the most Holy God and become a part of His own people. We are able to meet with God because we have been delivered from all our sins by the gospel of the water and the Spirit. We are also able to have true fellowship with God because we have become His own people. Because of this, we must realize that we cannot meet with God on our own without first believing in the gospel of the water and the Spirit. Therefore, we can meet with Him only through faith. Although our Lord is fundamentally God, He has visited this world by the gospel Truth of the water and the Spirit to meet with us who are fundamentally sinners.
We believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit, and we believe that our Lord is the King of kings, the Creator God, and the true Savior. We are thankful that Jesus Christ has come to this world in the flesh of man. We are able to meet with Him when we believe in His spoken gospel Word of the water and the Spirit. Whoever wants to meet with Jesus Christ must realize that this is possible only by believing in Him who came to this world to deliver us from all our sins. We are not able to meet with Him merely because we desire to do so. Because we believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit, we are now able to meet freely with God. By believing in the Lord-given gospel Truth of the water and the Spirit, we have become God’s own people. Dear fellow believers, do these words make sense to you?
Every person grew up in a distinct environment, and one’s belief system is molded mainly by this environment. You might be a Christian because of the environment that you have been raised in. Among believers in Jesus, there are also those who have come across the gospel for the first time later in life. Although the gospel Word of the water and the Spirit may sound a little odd when hearing it for the first time, we know that it is still right. It is natural for us to initially be confused when we enter into the power of the gospel of the water and the Spirit. Everyone goes through the same experience at first. However, your confusion will surely be overcome when you place your faith in the gospel of the water and the Spirit.
There are many Christians who praise God out of their affection for God despite not knowing the gospel of the water and the Spirit. Is He really pleased with this mistaken praise of sinners? Those who have become righteous by their faith are praising God with a joyful heart. If you go to a church of God, you can find other people who are praising only the righteousness of God.
Whoever comes to the church of God will eventually hear the gospel Word of the water and the Spirit. This gospel of the water and the Spirit is the gospel Truth that cannot be heard anywhere else in the world. Those who hear and believe in the gospel Truth of the water and the Spirit gather at God’s Church to lead their spiritual lives. Also, since there cannot be a single spot of sin in their hearts, they come to praise God with completely sinless hearts. They can praise God from deep within in their hearts because they have met with the Lord in the Truth and therefore have conviction of their salvation. In God’s Church, the grace of the remission of sin, which our Lord has given us, is overflowing at all times.
How was it possible for us to meet with our Lord? Actually, this is impossible through mere human means. It’s nonsense for us to try to meet with God with solely our own effort. We are unable to meet with God with faith that is based on human thoughts. It is only by believing in the gospel Truth of the water and the Spirit that we are delivered from all our sins and are also able to meet with God the Creator of all Heavens. For us to meet with God, we are in absolute need of the gospel of the water and the Spirit. There is no defect in our remission of sin which is gained through the faith in that gospel. Now, whoever believes in the gospel of the water and the Spirit can meet with God and become God’s own people through their faith.
Our true Mediator is Jesus Christ (1 Timothy 2:5). And the Lord-given gospel of the water and the Spirit is true salvation. No one can meet with Jesus except through the gospel Truth of the water and the Spirit. None of us can be exempted from eternal condemnation unless we know the gospel Truth of the water and the Spirit. We are able to meet with Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, only by believing in the real Truth of salvation which came by the water and the Spirit. Thus, I tell you now that you, whoever believes in the gospel of the water and the Spirit will be the most blessed.
However, those Christian ministers who have not come across the gospel of the water and the Spirit cannot preach true sermons because they have not yet met with God. Thus, they are able only to preach sermons of untruth. They may preach the Word of God in their own way, but they are unable to share the Truth that enables people to solve the problem of sin in their spirit. It is absolutely impossible for them to speak of the realm of the gospel Truth of the water and the Spirit, for they have no idea about this gospel Truth. Many preachers give sermons to their congregants, but their words are nothing but theoretical thoughts out of their own flesh.What Is The Love of God Truly Like?
What is the love of God like? In this world, there are many kinds of love. There exists the love of people, of friends, of a lover, of one’s parents, and the love of God. Then, which kind of love is the most precious? Since never changing and unconditional love is the most precious, God’s love beats out all others without a second thought. We all desire to possess the love of God in our hearts. How are we able to possess the love of God in our hearts then? When we believe in Jesus Christ, who came by the gospel Word of the water and the Spirit, to be our Savior, we are able to possess the love of God.
Until the last generation, people used to think that they could gain worldly knowledge by going to church. However, nowadays, people don’t even think of such an advantage. These days, because there are so many places to learn in the world and because people have already learned so much, people are dissatisfied unless the gospel of the water and the Spirit is preached.
The gospel of the water and the Spirit is preached only in the church of God. People come to church these days not to learn worldly knowledge but to learn about God and to hear the voice of God through the gospel of the water and the Spirit. Yet, how can a minister, who is ignorant of the gospel of the water and the Spirit, lead the souls of others to the Word of God? Those who are still ignorant of the gospel of the water and the Spirit have neither received the remission of their sins nor met with God because they do not know this gospel Truth. How then could they possibly discuss the gospel of the water and the Spirit, which is the Gospel of God? Furthermore, how could they possibly talk about your spiritual condition? They are unable to discuss the remission of sin and the true salvation. They only confuse the hearts of spiritually blind Christians with their doctrines. Everyone must be washed completely from all their sins by their faith in the gospel of the water and the Spirit. Otherwise, it is impossible to share this true gospel clearly manifested in the Bible.
Yet, we who believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit were able to meet with Jesus through this gospel Truth. Since Jesus came to this world by water and blood (1 John 5: 6), we are made born again as well as God’s own people by our faith in that gospel.
In today’s Scripture passage of John 1, it is written that Jesus Christ is God: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it” (John 1:1-5).
In the beginning, there was the Word. This Word was in fact the Word of God. This world was made through the Word of God, and there was nothing in this world that was not made through the Word of God. In the Word of God, came life for all things. That life also gave life to men.
God the Creator of all the universe is the very Triune God― the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God made the universe into a reality by His Word, “Let there be something.” When God spoke, it became thus. What I am saying is this Omnipotent God has come to us as our Savior. With our Lord, who came to this world, came the authority to cleanse us from all our sins. Yet, so many people do not know the Lord and die as sinners. “And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it” (John 1:5).
However, you and I who believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit have received much love from God. God our Savior came to this world in the man’s flesh just like ours. By receiving the baptism from John the Baptist and dying on the Cross, He took all our sins onto Himself and expunged all of them. By resurrecting from the dead, He has given us, who believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit, the grace to call God the Father as “Abba Father.” By knowing and believing in the gospel of the water and the Spirit, we have been delivered from all our sins and adopted as God’s own children. Thus, through the gospel of the water and the Spirit, we have met with our Savior, Jesus Christ. Since we have met God by this gospel Truth, what great love have we received from God?
We, who have been born again by believing in Jesus as our Savior through the gospel of the water and the Spirit, have received the great grace of salvation. Yet, many people remain sinners in the darkness, although the light of the gospel of the water and the Spirit has shone upon them. What great shame is it that so many people are still wondering in the darkness, when Jesus Christ has already delivered everyone from all their sins by coming through the gospel of the water and the Spirit? We have certainly received abundant grace, since we have met Jesus through our faith in the gospel of the water and the Spirit.
If we take a moment to reflect on ourselves for a moment, we have not met our Lord because of our intelligence. If we were able to meet the Lord by our fleshly abilities, we would not have been able to meet our Lord. How could such insignificant people such as us meet with such awesome God?
If we look at each individual person in comparison to the universe, we are like dust. No, not even dust. If such beings tried to meet with the Lord, it is only reasonable to think that it won’t be possible. That’s why He came to us and met with us. We have not met with God through our excellence in the flesh, but we were able to meet with God because our Lord has delivered us by the gospel Word of the water and the Spirit. Those who have believed this and met with the Lord have received His true love. As I am wearing a formal suit right now, those who have believed in the gospel of the water and the Spirit are wearing the clothes of God’s righteousness. We who have put on the love of God are wearing His great love indeed. It is a great privilege to receive blessings, grace, salvation, and love from the Almighty God, who is the Creator and the Savior.
We have not loved God, but God loved us first and unconditionally by the gospel Truth of the water and the Spirit, meeting with us and covering us with His love (1 John 4:19). Thus, we have become God’s own people, been adopted as His children, and gained the right to enter into the eternal world. There is nothing we have done on our part in completing this amazing Truth of God. God did it all from His side.
For us to go after that love of God is as hopeless as traveling all around the world looking for one’s unknown mother, as a fairy tale tells. We will not be able to find the Savior, even if we were to search in ever corner of this universe. We are able to meet God only because He Himself came to meet with us. We can meet with the Lord and are delivered from all our sins only by believing in the Lord-given gospel of the water and the Spirit. No one can receive the remission of sin by ones own deeds or abilities.
Thus, we have to abandon our human thoughts that stand against the will of God. All salvation comes out of our Lord. To think that we will do something with our own worldly knowledge is a delusion. It is forgetting one’s place, acting like a puppy that’s not afraid of a tiger. If we really want to meet the Lord of Truth, we must pay attention to the Word of God with our eyes and ears. The problem is that people are deceived by false teachings and, therefore, fail to realize the gospel Truth of the water and the Spirit.
Those who are ignorant of the Truth of the water and the Spirit will not meet the Lord even when they are given a second chance. Those who have not been washed completely of all of their sins by their faith in the gospel of the water and the Spirit cannot comprehend even a line of the Bible correctly. They can only say that the Word of God is composed of the white part which is the paper and the black letters. They may come to know the scholastic knowledge of this world, but the written Word of the Bible is indescribably complicated to them. If Jesus said the Word in the beginning to create the heavens and the earth, that Word is the Word of God. And this universe was solely created by His Word. But religionist Christians try to interpret His Word only through their own limited logical understanding. Therefore, it is impossible for those, who do not know the gospel of the water and the Spirit, to comprehend how God came to this world in the flesh of man.
I met the Lord through the gospel Word of the water and the Spirit 10 years after I started believing in Jesus as my Savior. While studying theology I have realized that even at the graduate level, it was utterly impossible to know the essence of Jesus Christ through such theology. “Ah! It’s utterly impossible to know Jesus. The more I learn about the Bible, it only gets harder to comprehend. I can understand every variation of Christian doctrines – I can memorize every detail of soteriology, systematic theology and pneumatology – but the Bible is different. One day I think I have a firm grasp on it, the very next day I am uncertain. The more I study the Bible, the more confused I get.” So I rather gave up. I eventually thought to myself, “I am quite ignorant of the Bible.”
When I first believed in Jesus, I thought that I knew the Bible fairly well. Although I claimed to have believed in Jesus as my Savior, everything I thought I knew came into doubt after 10 years. Fortunately, I realized the gospel Truth of the water and the Spirit while reading the Scripture. Through it, the sins of my heart were completely blotted out. I received God’s blessing of being born again by knowing and then believing in the gospel of the water and the Spirit through the written Word of God. That gospel of the water and the Spirit states, “Jesus terminated all the sins of the world by receiving the baptism from John the Baptist and by dying on the Cross.” Only after I had known the gospel Truth of the water and the Spirit, I was able to truly meet with Jesus my Savior. In short, when I knew the gospel of the water and the Spirit, I was truly able to meet Jesus.
Since then, I have been able to preach the gospel Word of the water and the Spirit. When I shared the gospel Word of the water and the Spirit, those who heard the message were able to meet the Lord properly just as I have met the Lord my God.
In retrospect, I had an incomplete belief in God before I knew the gospel of the water and the Spirit. However, my faith is quite different now. I am quite busy with work, but when I take some time off to pray and read the Bible, a thought occurs to me; “How did I meet with God?” This was a question that I couldn’t answer precisely before.
“Lord Jesus, You have come to me with the gospel Word of the water and the Spirit. You have visited me by coming into this world in the flesh of man. You took all my sins onto Your body by receiving the baptism, and died on the Cross in my stead. On the third day, You rose from the dead, and ascended into the Heavens. The Word You had spoken was recorded so that I may know myself and God through it. When I know in my heart and believe that God has delivered me from all my sins, I receive my salvation. This was utterly due to Your grace and love. How could I meet with God any way otherwise?” I cannot help but confess like this. What I am saying is that it was not through the efforts on my side by which I met with the Lord. The Lord has delivered me from all my sins by His grace, He has loved me by His grace, and He met with me and you by His grace. I give thanks to God, as I reflect on these.
I am a mere creature, weak and deficient, having nothing to boast about. Not only before God but even before people I have nothing to boast about, but He met with me out of His love. “He became a human being for my sake and brought salvation to humanity by coming down to us by the water and the Spirit. That’s why the Lord desires to meet not only with me but also with the rest of the humanity. The Lord always is near to the people. Yet, most of them have not met with Him, although we have.” My heart is gladdened whenever these thoughts occur to me. As I see the congregants and servants of God’s Church, I am glad because I feel that “They are people who truly have met God.”
Dear fellow believers, how many people are there in this world who have believed in Jesus and met with the God of Truth? Are there many? Dear fellow believers, there are not that many Christians who have met God by the gospel of the water and the Spirit.
This is why we are serving the gospel Word of the water and the Spirit. The reason we hold revival meetings at God’s Church is so that those who have not met God yet may indeed meet with God. Although the Bible is a pretty thick book, it can be summarized into a few words: They are the gospel of the water and the Spirit. If after hearing the Word you understand it and check it and discover yourself through it, the Lord will come to you. If you know and believe that Jesus bore all your sins and expunged all your sins by the baptism and the Cross, then you can come to meet the Lord.
You may inquire, “How it is possible for mere creatures to meet with God?” If we meet the Lord through our faith in the gospel of the water and the Spirit, we comprehend the gospel of the water and the Spirit at that moment with an exclamation of “That’s it.” However, those who lack a humble heart are difficult to receive this special love of God. Numerous babies are being born every moment. Yet, is there any one who has met God, the Creator of the entire universe, through his own method? No, no one can meet Him for himself.
Then, how can I receive the love of God and the blessing from Him? The correct answer is that “The Lord has met with me.” In order to meet with me, the Lord came to this world in the flesh of man like mine: He took all of our sins onto Himself by receiving the baptism from John the Baptist. When He died on the Cross, He received the judgments for all our sins in our stead. And on the third day, He was resurrected from the dead. Through these righteous acts, the Lord has met you and me. Thus, we have received our salvation from all our sins.
I am standing before you as a pastor who believes in the gospel of the water and the Spirit. Though I am insufficient in many areas, it is my sincerest desire to lead all people who have not met the Lord to the Him and to introduce to them about the God and Jesus whom I have met. I am not a VIP. I am comparable to a tour guide. Like a guide at a tourist attraction, those who have met the Lord through their faith in the gospel of the water and the Spirit are gospel preachers, leading others to Jesus. If we are to be good spiritual guides, we need to believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit and receive proper spiritual training. Regardless of how articulate a person is, unless he knows about the tourist attraction and about the role of a guide, he cannot be a good guide. Therefore, we, first of all, have to know about the Gospel of the water and the Spirit.
I was able to approach God because I first met with the gospel of the water and the Spirit. And only because the Lord chose to meet with me by the gospel of the water and the Spirit, I was able to meet with the Lord. I have worn the love of the Lord because the Lord has truly loved me first. Because I have worn the love of God, I am trying to spread that love all over the world. Also, because I have met Him, I am trying to introduce Him to you and lead you to Him. Because I am thankful of the fact that the Lord has met with me, I am so happy that the Lord has also met with you. Through these sermons, I hope you all experience how honored and grateful we should be that the Lord has met with us. Still, I am confident that we are of one heart, since we have all been born again of the gospel of the water and the Spirit.
The gospel Truth of the water and the Spirit is the cornerstone of salvation for all sinners. If we lack the faith in this Truth, we are unable to meet the Lord. If any of you does not believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit, you will be deceived by the false ministers and deprived of your souls as well as your money.
Is there still any one among you who has sin in your heart? How can you say that you have accepted Jesus as your Savior in your heart, when the sins in your heart are still intact because you do not know the gospel of the water and the Spirit? What other Truth is there besides the gospel of the water and the Spirit by which you can encounter Jesus and receive salvation? Your foolish claim that you have been born again without believing correctly in the gospel of the water and the Spirit is leading you to hell. That’s why we must continuously blow the trumpet of salvation so that everyone of the world may hear the gospel Truth and be saved from sin. If people fail to meet the Lord and receive eternal salvation again because they choose not to hear to the gospel of the water and the Spirit when we are faithfully preaching it, the blame is on them.
We should love, thank, believe, and glorify God during the days of our lives. We should share what we have received. And as God met with us, we should also share the gospel of the water and the Spirit and introduce God to those who are ignorant of Him so that they also will meet with Him. That is what we the righteous should do.
The Lord has delivered us from all our sins. We should live our lives praising the Lord and giving thanks to Him.

MISSÕES EM ANGOLA

O Sr. Ernest Wilson foi para Angola como missionário aos vinte e um anos de idade. Pouco tempo depois foi convidado para pregar numa conferência onde havia uma congregação com mais de cinco mil pessoas. Um irmão idoso sentou-se ao seu lado e com voz cheia de amor disse-lhe: “Meu filho, não esqueça que o povo de Deus está faminto e necessita do alimento espiritual”. É impossível ler o Novo Testamento sem perceber a grande responsabilidade que o Senhor deu aos discípulos e aos anciãos:

Eu pertencia a uma igreja conservadora e semanalmente recebíamos ensino sobre a igreja local. Ensino desta natureza é necessário e importante mas não é o único ensino que os membros precisam ouvir. Há outras igrejas onde o povo só
recebe sermõezinhos de dez a quinze minutos, que são meras merendas espirituais. 0 povo de Deus precisa de uma dieta equilibrada. É um pecado não alimentar os cristãos. Isto impede o crescimento espiritual.

Davi e seus homens vão à batalha contra os filisteus novamente. E após algum tempo Davi se cansa muito, afinal ele agora não é mais o pastorzinho de anos atrás quando lutou contra Golias, mas já é um rei envelhecido. E é bem neste momento que Isbi Benobe, um gigante, vem para atacá-lo. Você que achou que o único gigante com quem Davi lutou foi Golias? Bem, saiba agora que não. E este gigante tinha uma espada nova que, crê-se, foi preparada especialmente para matar Davi. Ele iria inaugurá-la com a morte de Davi. O gigante só estava à espera do momento ideal, e ele o encontrou quando viu Davi cansado. Davi estava à sua mercê. Mas neste momento surge Abisai, que socorre a Davi, ferindo e matando o gigante filisteu. Isbi Benobe, cujo nome significa “meu trono em Nobe ou meu trono no lugar alto” é a figura do diabo em sua rebelião, querendo nos destruir. E Davi (heb. “o amado”) poderia ter sido morto, não estivesse ele coberto pelos seus valentes soldados, entre os quais destaca-se Abisai (“pai de um dom ou desejoso de um dom”).Nós, a igreja, somos os amados do Senhor, e temos um inimigo que quer ver a nossa destruição. Ele tem uma espada nova, uma estratégia feita especialmente para nos destruir, e por isto nós não podemos, ou devemos, estar na batalha sozinhos. Devemos estar cercados de valorosos guerreiros que nos cubram e nos dêem apoio. Isto através de intercessores, mantenedores, conselheiros, líderes, estrategistas, irmãos que estejam conosco lado a lado no campo, etc. Ao final os homens de Davi não permitiram que Davi saísse a lutar na peleja novamente, a fim de que a lâmpada de Israel não se apagasse. Temos que nos cercar de pessoas como Abisai, que tenham um dom para nos abençoar, aconselhar, interceder, discipular, pastorear, encorajar, ajudar a enxergar aquilo que nós mesmos não estamos enxergando, pessoas a quem possamos prestar contas e nos submeter, a fim de que a nossa luz brilhe com a maior intensidade.

BÍBLIA: A SAGRADA ESCRITURA

Em contraste com os levitas, cuja porção era o Senhor, encontramos aqui novamente duas tribos e meia ferrenhamente apegadas às suas posses terrenas. Carregados de riquezas tomadas do inimigo, abençoados por Josué, parecia que tudo estava bem para os homens de Rúben, Gade e Manassés. Mas não estava! Prestes a cruzar o Jordão novamente, o qual anteriormente tinham atravessado de maneira gloriosa, eles estavam prestes a sofrer uma grande perda! A arca não estava entre eles nessa segunda travessia, pois permanecia em Canaã. Talvez você pergunte: “O que eles deviam fazer?” As famílias deles estavam do outro lado! Josué 22:19 nos mostra que ainda havia tempo para elas tomarem posse da terra também. Por outro lado, o Senhor Jesus não disse: “Quem ama seu pai ou sua mãe mais do que a mim não é digno de mim” (Mateus 10:37)? Infelizmente, quantos jovens cristãos, tendo começado e lutado bem, simplesmente se afastarem de Deus e do restante do Seu povo. E muitas vezes é por causa de laços familiares que tais jovens formaram obstinadamente, sem o menor respeito pelos direitos de Deus. Podemos até ouvir a triste pergunta que o Senhor fez aos Seus discípulos: “Porventura, quereis também vós outros retirar-vos?” (João 6:67). Caríssimo leitor, se essa pergunta fosse feita a você, qual seria a resposta?

“Reparti com vossos irmãos o despojo dos vossos inimigos” foi a ordem de Josué para os que estavam partindo (v. 8). Essas são verdades bíblicas das experiências cristãs: o Senhor nos chama para compartilhar com outros as riquezas espirituais acumuladas na terra prometida. Da mesma forma que aqueles homens eram capazes de contar às suas famílias a memorável travessia do Jordão e as gloriosas vitórias de Josué, assim também um crente jovem é capaz de contar as “maravilhas” realizadas a seu favor pelo Senhor ou descobertas em Sua Palavra (3:5).
Os guerreiros de Rúben, Gade e Manassés construíram um ‘grande altar’ na margem do Jordão. Seus irmãos das outras tribos ficaram imediatamente preocupados e se dispuseram a intervir. O que a construção desse altar significava? Um ato de desafio contra Deus? Uma proclamação de independência? Qualquer que fosse a explicação, aqui está a primeira dificuldade que não teria ocorrido se eles tivessem ficado em Canaã. A investigação foi conduzida por Finéias, sacerdote que já havia provado seu zelo em um momento crítico da história do povo de Deus. Zeloso com o zelo do Senhor (Números 25:11), ele combinava o amor por Deus com o amor por seus irmãos, duas virtudes inseparáveis (1 João 4:20-21)!

Classificação de países por perseguição

A Coréia do Norte ocupa o primeiro lugar na Classificação de países por perseguição pela sétima vez consecutiva. Os cristãos são perseguidos constantemente sob o governo comunista. O reino muçulmano wahhabi da Arábia Saudita mantém o segundo lugar estável, e, na escala da perseguição, ocupa a mesma colocação que um país que também é regido pela lei sharia: o Irã. O islã também é a religião oficial no Afeganistão, Somália e nas Maldivas, países que ocupam a quarta, quinta e sexta posição respectivamente. O Afeganistão subiu na lista este ano, como resultado do aumento da pressão por parte do Talibã em 2008. O Iêmen ocupa a sétima posição e o Laos permanece como o oitavo colocado da lista, mas em ambos os países não houve mudanças significativas relativas à liberdade religiosa. Dois novos países aparecem entre os dez primeiros: Somália e Eritréia. Na Somália, o número de incidentes contra cristãos aumentou dramaticamente em 2008, o que explica sua subida do 12º lugar para o quinto neste ano. Na Eritréia não houve grandes mudanças na falta de liberdade religiosa para os cristãos, mas o deslocamento de outros países fez com que ela figurasse entre os dez piores. China e Butão deixaram de integrar a relação dos dez primeiros. Em 2008, a situação da liberdade religiosa para os cristãos piorou na Arábia Saudita, Irã, Afeganistão, Somália, Paquistão, Iraque, Mauritânia, Argélia, Índia, Nigéria (Norte), Indonésia, Bangladesh e Cazaquistão. No Irã ocorreram mais invasões a igrejas domésticas, e um número maior de cristãos foi preso, fazendo de 2008 um dos piores anos de perseguição aos cristãos desde a Revolução Islâmica em 1979. No Afeganistão, uma cristã ocidental que trabalhava em uma instituição humanitária foi morta porque, segundo o Talibã, estava difundindo o cristianismo no país, o que é proibido por lei. Na Somália, a Portas Abertas recebeu relatos de que pelo menos dez cristãos foram mortos por sua fé em 2008, e vários outros foram sequestrados e violentados. A pressão sobre a minoria cristã no Paquistão continuou incessante. A minoria cristã iraquiana enfrentou um ano cheio de violência em 2008. Igrejas foram atacadas ou danificadas por bombas, cristãos receberam ameaças de morte e vários foram mortos, sofreram abusos e/ou sequestros. Em 2008, a situação não piorou para os cristãos da Mauritânia, mas está bem pior do que se esperava. A mídia mauritana tem retratado o cristianismo como um movimento perigoso que precisa ser combatido, e os islamitas têm ameaçado os cristãos de morte. Durante 2008, muitas igrejas na Argélia receberam ordem de fechar suas portas. Os líderes cristãos acreditam que a perseguição aumenta não por causa do aumento do poder dos islamitas, mas porque os convertidos ao cristianismo estão crescendo em número. Durante anos, a Índia esteve perto do trigésimo lugar na Classificação da Portas Abertas. Neste ano, ela foi para a 22ª posição. O terceiro trimestre de 2008 registrou os piores índices de violência religiosa contra os cristãos na Índia. O número de incidentes como detenções, violência física, sequestros e atentados contra igrejas permaneceu alto em toda a Índia. “Mas não dá para comparar a Índia com um país como a Coréia do Norte, que oprime os cristãos e não lhes concede qualquer status legal”, disse o diretor da Portas Abertas na Índia. “O cristianismo não é [ilegal?] legalmente proibido no país.” Ocorreram repetidos episódios de violência religiosa no norte da Nigéria no ano passado, e mais de 100 cristãos foram mortos e feridos. Os cristãos na Indonésia estão sob crescente pressão devido à islamização e à crescente polarização. A pressão sobre os convertidos aumentou também em Bangladesh – tanto na parte muçulmana como na budista. Um ex-muçulmano convertido foi morto em fevereiro passado. O governo do Cazaquistão tentou fechar locais de culto, e uma nova lei religiosa a ser revisada poderia afetar de forma negativa as atividades e locais de reunião cristãos. A Portas Abertas registrou menos relatos de perseguição aos cristãos no Butão, China, Turcomenistão, Vietnã, Azerbaidjão, Sudão (Norte), Zanzibar, Cuba, Turquia e Colômbia. As maiores mudanças ocorreram no Butão, incluindo a implementação de uma nova constituição que garante mais liberdade religiosa. Na China, a situação para os cristãos melhorou em 2008. Embora o governo tenha fechado igrejas, prendido e molestado fisicamente cristãos, não houve relatos de cristãos sequestrados ou mortos por causa de sua fé. No Turcomenistão, o número de cristãos presos, sentenciados à cadeia, campo de trabalho ou hospital psiquiátrico diminuiu. Entretanto, a situação geral dos cristãos no país não teve mudanças drásticas. Menos cristãos foram importunados no Vietnã no ano passado. A Portas Abertas registrou menos relatos de perseguição de cristãos na Colômbia em 2008. Com isso, esse país que há muito tempo figurava entre os perseguidores do cristianismo não aparece na Classificação neste ano.

A EVANGELIZAÇÃO MUNDIAL: MISSÕES

As Escrituras, geralmente definem Missões como fazer “discípulos de todas as nações” (Mat. 28:18-20). Isto envolve o envio de crentes para comunicar as boas novas da salvação, através da palavra e obras, com a finalidade de fazer discípulos e implantar igrejas. A Grande Comissão não pode ser limitada a alguns versículos encontrados nos Evangelhos e no livro de Atos. Deus nos dá o padrão de como a sua mensagem deve ser comunicada através das Escrituras. Começando em Gênesis, vemos o coração de Deus e a sua compaixão por um mundo perdido, movendo-o a prometer um Messias para realizar o seu plano e propósito aqui na Terra. Vemos a primeira evidência deste modelo na história através de Abraão, enviado por Deus, com a promessa de que através dele, todas as nações da terra seriam abençoadas, tendo o seu ponto culminante, na vinda do Messias, nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo.
Através da vinda de Jesus, a ordem universal é dada e totalmente compreendida por seus discípulos. Em Mateus 24:14, Jesus disse: “E este evangelho do Reino será pregado em todo o mundo, como testemunho a todas as nações, e então virá o fim.” A visão que o Apóstolo João teve de Deus no Seu trono, inclui o louvor vindo de uma grande multidão de pessoas redimidas procedentes de “todas as nações, tribos, povos e línguas.” (Apoc. 7:9). É a esta tarefa de evangelização mundial que a Kemp Missões dedica-se.

World-wide campaign of the conjunct will mobilize 220 countries in May

Idealized in 2001 in the City of the Handle, the South Africa, the World-wide Campaign of the Conjunct did not delay to exceed borders and if to spread for the world. In the 2009 edition, the event intends to mobilize, of 21 the 31 of May, about 220 countries for the cause. In the passed year, 214 nations had participated of the movement. The chosen date is not by chance, therefore it sends to the time of Pentecostes. The international movement has as objective to pray per 10 days followed for the pardon of the sins, for the participant countries, the authorities and a genuine livening (social actions of the churches in its communities) throughout all the year. During the campaign, each country will trace its strategy of performance, with vigils, cults, clock and rooms of conjunct, among others methods. In Brazil, the proposal is to conclamar Christian churches and of diverse states and cities. In each place or integrant religious denomination, a leadership will have to organize the actions of conjunct. The apex of the campaign will happen in its last day, when a great celebration is foreseen. In set, the churches of each city will have to promote cults of louvor and worship the God in public places, congregating the people in squares, colleges, gymnasia, stadiums and parks. CAMPANHA MUNDIAL DE ORAÇÕES: 21 a 31 DE MAIO

Idealizada em 2001 na Cidade do Cabo, na África do Sul, a Campanha Mundial da Oração não demorou para ultrapassar fronteiras e se espalhar pelo mundo. Na edição de 2009, o evento pretende mobilizar, de 21 a 31 de maio, cerca de 220 países pela causa. No ano passado, 214 nações participaram do movimento. A data escolhida não é por acaso, pois remete ao tempo de Pentecostes.
O movimento internacional tem como objetivo orar por 10 dias seguidos pelo perdão dos pecados, pelos países participantes, pelas autoridades e por um avivamento genuíno (ações sociais das igrejas em suas comunidades) ao longo de todo o ano.
Durante a campanha, cada país traçará sua estratégia de atuação, com vigílias, cultos, relógio e salas de oração, entre outros métodos. No Brasil, a proposta é conclamar igrejas e cristãos de diversos estados e municípios. Em cada local ou denominação religiosa integrante, uma liderança deverá organizar as ações de oração.
O ápice da campanha acontecerá em seu último dia, quando está prevista uma grande celebração. Em conjunto, as igrejas de cada município deverão promover cultos de louvor e adoração a Deus em locais públicos, reunindo as pessoas em praças, colégios, ginásios, estádios e parques.

Evento "40 Anos de Poder" reúne artistas da Graça Music em SP e RJ

Uma verdadeira seleção de artistas está sendo preparada para dois eventos que deverão reunir cerca de 500 mil pessoas no Rio de Janeiro e na cidade de São Paulo, num mesmo dia.

Benny Hinn e o mega evento em Porto Alegre

Um megaevento religioso, comandado pelo pastor evangélico radicado nos Estados Unidos Benny Hinn, reuniu milhares de fiéis no último dia 13, no Anfiteatro Pôr-do-Sol, em Porto Alegre.
Hinn é um pregador que adquiriu status de popstar no meio religioso. Nos Estados Unidos, suas celebrações são transmitidas pela televisão. Em outros países, os evangélicos o acompanham principalmente por Internet, DVDs e livros escritos pelo pastor. Uma única apresentação dele na Índia teria reunido 2 milhões de pessoas, segundo a organização do evento.
Em Porto Alegre, o ato está sendo organizado pela Igreja Centro de Avivamento para as Nações. Na plateia, religiosos de outros Estados do Brasil e de países vizinhos dividiam espaço com os gaúchos. A missionária da Assembleia de Deus Isa Nascimento veio de Brasília, de avião, com 17 companheiros apenas para acompanhar Hinn. – O que mais eu admiro é a intimidade dele com Deus, tanto ao vivo quanto nos DVDs – explica.

Society: Churches want G20 to agree green approach to economic crisis

The Baptist, Methodist and United Reformed Churches are challenging G20 heads of government meeting in London next month to show real leadership and agree a strategy to deal with the economic crisis that also positively addresses climate change.
The Churches say the economic downturn is an opportunity for investment in new technology that will help save energy and reduce carbon output.
They are also calling on wealthier nations to provide generous support to developing countries to enable them to implement suitable environmental measures.
The Churches said in a joint statement: “The health of any economy cannot be measured solely on economic indicators such as growth, debt and employment.
“Climate change has the potential to disadvantage millions in the developed world and in developing nations.
“The G20 leaders must not allow the economic crisis to divert us from tackling this challenge. This is precisely the right time to be making concrete commitments on low-carbon growth.”
The Churches have previously called on the EU to make tackling climate change a priority and ensure that growth is coupled with binding commitments that benefit the environment.
The Rev John Marsh, Moderator of the General Assembly of the United Reformed Church added: “This is a fundamental issue of justice, which is very important in Christian theology. We would like to see the G20 leaders articulating a vision for a more just and equitable approach.”
Senior representatives of the Churches will join some 2,000 Christians from all denominations expected to take part in an ecumenical service in Westminster and major march through central London with other environmental campaigners next Saturday.
Church-based groups Tearfund, CAFOD, Micah Challenge, World Vision and The Salvation Army are among those supporting the service. They are calling on G20 leaders to put people first as they work to re-build the economy and pay particular attention to job security and the environment.
“We need a world economy to be fairer, safer and greener if all in society are to benefit,” said Paul Cook, Tearfund’s Advocacy Director.
“G20 leaders have a chance in London to build justice into tired and failed banking systems. They have a chance to lift the poorest towards better livelihoods with stronger economies in their countries.
“And leaders have the chance to build economic policy that sustains the environment to limit the effects of climate change on the most vulnerable communities.
“This is the change we need, because cope they can’t.”
Also taking part in the service are the Bishop of London Dr Richard Chartres, Father Joe Komakoma of the Episcopal Conference of Zambia and Joel Edwards of Micah Challenge.
“As global leaders gather in London, it is crucial that the world’s poorest communities are not forgotten,” said Dr Chartres. “The Put People First service and rally is our opportunity to make the case for a global society that is committed to tackling poverty, injustice and climate change with the aim of creating a brighter future for the many and not just the few.”
Thousands of Christians will also join together in prayer during the week leading up to the G20 Summit as part of Rise Up, a call to prayer for justice for the poor, co-ordinated by Micah Challenge. It is taking place in countries worldwide from 29 March to 3 April.

I want to evangelizar, Mr. Jesus!

The indication clearest of where to evangelizar was given by Jesus, when it said: " But you will receive the virtue from the Espirito Santo, that has to come on you; e you will be me witnesses in such a way in Jerusalem as in all Judéia and Samaria and until the confines of terra" (Acts 1:8). Jerusalem, Judéia and Samaria and confines of the land Jerusalem can mean the people who live with us: our familiar, work and neighboring ones, schoolmates. Judéia and Samaria; the people next to us, but with which we do not have contact: the people of the quarters and the next cities. Confines of the land would represent the people most distant, living of other states and countries. The Evangelho for all Jesus does not disdain any human being, but he wants that all hear the message of the Evangelho. Thus, the church of Jesus must dedicate to attention to all the people, dedicating itself it to evangelizar in all the places. Jesus also said: " IDE for the whole world, you nail evangelho to all criatura" (Landmarks 16:15). Where to evangelizar? Then, where to evangelizar? We go to examine the New Will. We go to see in which places the first evangelizadores, to start for Jesus, had announced the Evangelho. It opens its Bible in Lucas 8:1 and you it will see Jesus nailing evangelho in the cities and villages. In Acts 5:42, the disciples announcing the Jesus Christ in the temple and the houses.
